gwu.edu –This survey assesses government agencies’ compliance with recent changes to freedom of information requirements in the United States. Responsive agencies were graded on whether or not they showed concrete steps toward addressing two key demands: (1) updating all Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) guidance and training materials to include the principles articulated in the President’s Memorandum, and (2) assessing whether adequate resources are devoted to responding to FOIA requests promptly and cooperatively.
