What is Jelly?
Jelly is a casual monthly co-working event, where homeworkers, freelancers, small business owners and office based people who want a change of environment once in a while can get together with their laptops once a month to have a change from their usual workplace, meet some new people and work together in a social environment.
- Jelly is mainly about work with a bit of chat, sharing ideas, helping others with business issues, passing on tips and maybe even collaborating on the birth of a new project.
- Jelly is not networking - the aim is not to meet new clients, pitch your business or try to sell - anyone blatantly doing this will NOT be popular. There are plenty of excellent networking groups within Norfolk you can go to. Jelly was started in the States and is now increasingly popular in the UK with over 30 active co-working groups already.
- So if you ever feel isolated in your home office/work office and want to meet some other like-minded people in a different work environment, then Jelly is for you - its FREE so jump on in and give it a try!
- There is free wifi, ample power points, and a good mobile phone coverage. (We ask people to leave the room if they are making phone calls so as not to disrupt everyone else.)

Norfolk Jelly Events
- The first Norfolk Jelly will be in Norwich
What does it cost to attend?
Its FREE to attend. The room we are using is just above the cafe in the King's Centre, so coffees and lunches are available: the food here is excellent and good value.
When is it?
Held on the second Monday of the month, with two sessions: 9.30-13.30 and 13.30-17.30.
There will be 10 FREE places for each event - numbers will be strictly limited. You must book a place and you are welcome to book for both sessions.
If all the places are filled, please put yourself on the waiting list: people often drop out in the last few days and there is likely to be room for you.
Do I have to stay for the whole session?
No, we don't lock you in! It's up to you when you come and when you leave - obviously the more that stay for most/all of the day the more vibrant, interactive and 'work day' like it will be. We suggest that you stay for at least three hours and hope you will be there for the whole session. The King's centre has a lovely cafe and is a great place to meet friends or colleagues for lunch before or after a session.
Do I qualify?
As long as you have A LAPTOP to keep you busy (or sufficient other work, there are no PCs or laptops available) and you're a business person, consider yourself qualified. The more variety of people we have attending the better! Even if you're still researching your business you're more than welcome to come along and get some inspiration!
Is it any good?
This attendee of Shropshire Jelly will give you an idea A fine idea by Ben Proctor, as does this piece by Lee Cottier on Co-working for home workers and freelancers
I'm sold, where do I sign?
Once you have a ticket, if you find that you can't attend, please let us know so we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list.

My personal view of the world via the articles i read and post, because I believe in that path, mixed with the views of others who sometimes clash with my point of view... very badly at times! Spot which ones they are. DYK that if you had projectbrainsaver type kit you would already know that, and so much more!
