How MPs voted on the Health and Social Care Bill
This table shows the MPs who voted for and against the last minute Commons motion to delay the passage of the Health and Social Care Bill until the government released the Transitional Risk Register, on Tuesday 20 March 2012 (Read the full debate on Hansard).
This only shows MPs who actually voted. Some may not appear on the list if they had unavoidable business or were ill and unable to attend. In some cases, MPs may pair with an MP from the opposite side of the House, so that both can miss the vote for other urgent business and their absences can cancel each other out. We unfortunately can’t tell if any MP who doesn’t appear in the list was present for the debate without voting, for what reason they were not in attendance, or whether they made pairing arrangements. So we’d advise against reading too much into any omitted name, without knowing more context.
